It doesn’t take a whole lot to entertain me. Seeing a deer run across the field and I am thrilled. Walking outside to get a glimpse of two red foxes and then have them bark at me, makes me laugh. If I’m in a car and see almost any type of wildlife that’s running in a field or hiding in the forest, it’s been a lovely experience. Standing on a deck, gazing at the ocean seeing pelicans fly by in formation is an experience I never forget. Snowcapped mountains take my breath away. Trees bursting forth in spring colors or being clothed in the reds, greens, yellows, and oranges of fall make my heart truly joyful. I love seeing God’s creation. It doesn’t get old because He has made our world so varied, so colorful, so teeming with wildlife and unique creatures that we literally cannot ever experience it all. “How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number—living things both large and small. There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there. All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time. When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust. When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.” Psalm 104:24-30
When I think about it all and that You made everything for us to see and enjoy, I am filled with gratitude. Thank You, Lord.
