There are certainly two ways to live. Now, to be honest, we like to muddy it all up. We like to cross the lines and say right is wrong and wrong is right but God’s Word is perfectly clear. There is a right way to live and a wrong way. The results can be seen.
“Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot. The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin. Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. Whoever winks maliciously causes grief, and a chattering fool comes to ruin. The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.” Proverbs 10:6-11
So, the question is up to us.
How will we choose to live?
Under God’s blessing or in wickedness?
What is said about us when we are gone will sum it up. Will our lives have brought life or will they have brought death? Will our words echo with blessing, or will people hear curses as they say our names?
While we have breath in our bodies we set the tone. What will it be? Will it be beauty, peace, and love? Or will it be violence, hatred, and grief?
We need to choose today how we will live.
Lord, I choose to follow You. Please help me to keep my feet right behind Yours.
