This heading in the Scripture text for this psalm begins with its purpose. It declares that it is a psalm, a song, and it is for the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a day of rest, so enjoy this song and may it bring rest to you.
“It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.” Psalm 92:1-3
Hmmm. It looks to me that praising and making music to the Lord is a part of resting in Him. So how is your day going? Is it calm or crazy? Is it on top or under? Is it victory, or do you feel defeat?
Today as I write, our world is in chaos. An unseen enemy has been loosed and invaded most countries around the earth. It literally is a time unlike any other. And yet our Savior has not changed. He knows every moment of this and knows how to solve it. We can praise Him and sing to Him and proclaim His great love. It is exactly the good news that the whole world wants to hear.
I praise You because of all You have done, are doing, and will do in the days ahead. Your love and faithfulness are beyond my understanding. Thank You.
