Trust

I have to wonder what’s in us that desires to have more in order to be happy. We look and don’t have, and think we have to go after it, even if it means going after it the wrong way.

Wait, I think I know the answer. It’s called sin.

“The stingy are eager to get rich and are unaware that poverty awaits them. Whoever rebukes a person will in the end gain favor rather than one who has a flattering tongue. Whoever robs their father or mother and says, ‘It’s not wrong,’ is partner to one who destroys. The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper. Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe. Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses. When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.” Proverbs 28:22-28

If we will come to Jesus, turn our lives over to Him, He will give us what we need. In plenty or in want, if we have Him, it is enough.

Come to Him, place your trust in Him, open your eyes and see the blessings that means.

Thank You, Jesus, that when we come to You, we have everything we need. You provide, protect, and place Your arms around us.
