“In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.” Psalm 25:1-3
Trust is a hard thing. We live in times when it is a very rare commodity. There is so much that is not trustworthy. We are constantly wondering if what we read or hear is a hoax or a scam. We get calls telling us our private information has been breached and if we merely tell the caller our social security number or checking account digits they can check.
Do not ever do that.
Marriages are challenged because trust has been destroyed. On the internet people pretend to be someone they are not to gain access into our lives. It is even hard to know if the news that’s being reported is true or skewed.
Yes, trust is a very rare commodity.
But there is One we can trust. The Lord never has, nor will He ever, lie or lead us astray. He loves us so much and wants to lead us in truth. We can trust Him with our lives. We can trust Him with our eternal lives.
His protective hand will then protect us from shame. It is a good thing to be in His hand.
Lord, thank You for leading us in Your truth. Thank You that we can trust You. Thank you for Your protective hand.
