“For surely your enemies, Lord, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me. My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, ‘The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.’” Psalm 92:9-15
What will happen to God’s enemies?
What will happen to the righteous?
The last part of this psalm is pretty clear. There is a huge distinction between what will happen to the Lord’s followers and those who choose to go their own way.
God’s enemies will be defeated and the righteous will flourish. This should be an easy choice, defeat or flourish. But sadly, for many, it is a choice that is never addressed. It is ignored. Refusing to make the choice to follow the Lord, is the choice to go against Him. The result is destruction. Choose today to receive Him.
Your Word says that today is the day of salvation. I choose to follow You, today.
