God is on the throne. In the end, He will bring the victory and as His followers, we will be standing beside Him in that win. You’ve probably heard people say, “I read the end of the book and He wins! Which means we win!”
If you have read the book of Revelation you know that is true. But even as I’m writing this, I look around and see that things are shaping up that look like we are very near to that end date. I know this, we are closer today than ever before. We have a hint to that victory in today’s verses.
“The Lord works out everything to its proper end—even the wicked for a day of disaster. The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.”
All of us have been hurt, wounded, offended, or even wronged. There are wicked people in the world and some of us have been victims of their wickedness. But no matter how difficult or even how seemingly easy our lives have been, all of us have been victimized by the ultimate wicked one, satan. He is our enemy and will use whatever means possible to defeat us. But he will not win. These verses give us the promise.
So, trust God today. No matter what happens, know that the wicked will not go unpunished.
But be aware, the Bible tells us that all of us are deceitful and desperately wicked. What are we to do?

Today, I want to pray for those I’ve hurt and for those who have hurt me. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of forgiveness.
