The verses today speak of distress. It’s something we know about, isn’t it? I know I’ve felt it in recent months. You probably have also.
“Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:4-9
Do you see what they did? They cried out to the Lord in their trouble. They went straight to Him for the solution. It is what we need to do also. We need to go to the Lord and ask Him to answer. If we will listen, search His Word, commit to follow after Him, He will listen and answer. He wants us to ask. He wants to answer. He leads by a straight path and gives good things to His children. Let’s ask Him to work in these stress filled days.
Father, we humble ourselves and pray, seeking Your face. We admit our sins and ask You to forgive us and heal our land.
