God doesn’t make mistakes. He has created us from His hand and given us the talents, abilities, family traits that we have for His grand purpose.
The world thinks beauty and intelligence are the tickets to success and have attempted to define what that looks like. But there is no Biblical definition for either of those.
His Word does not lay out that kind of standard but it does give us His standard for what is important. What we need in our lives is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control. It is the ultimate beauty, and wisdom is the ultimate intelligence.
When He formed us, He equipped us for His plan. It is our calling to follow that plan by following Him. Then His Word lines out for us how to grow in what is important.
“Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands. May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word.” Psalm 119:73-74
Studying His Word gives us the tools we need to know how to use what He has placed within us. When we put our hope in His Word and trust what He has placed before us, it causes rejoicing. People see and recognize that God is at work. Then He gets the credit and the praise.
Lord, thank You that I can trust that You formed me and You have equipped me for Your plan. Help me to grow to become more like You every day.
