And the praise continues. Sea creatures, ocean depths, lightening, hail, snow, clouds, stormy winds, mountains, hills, trees, wild animals, cattle, small creatures and birds all can praise the Lord. Many of the sounds we hear from tiniest of animals to the roaring of the ocean are praises being lifted to the Creator. But then humans can join our voices. From the youngest to the oldest we can glorify the Lord.
“Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and women, old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens. And he has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his faithful servants, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the Lord.” Psalm 148:7-14
Praise the Lord!
Let’s face it; everything and everybody will praise the Lord. Every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess that He is Lord.
He is the King of kings and the Lord of Lords.
He is Alpha and Omega.
He is the Holy One of Israel.
He is Elohim, Adonai, El Shaddai, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, and many other names.
And His name is above every other name.
He is Jesus.
Lord Jesus, I praise You because You are everything I need. You are so far above any created thing and yet, You call me friend. How grateful I am.
