Gracious, compassionate, slow to get angry, and loving are just a few of the terms that can describe God. As I ponder those words I have to wonder why anyone would want to steer clear of Someone described like that. Yet, some people want nothing to do with God. They try to keep Him out of their lives.
That’s hard to understand.
The Creator loves us. He wants to interact with us and invites us be in His family.
David wrote, “The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you. They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.” Psalm 145:8-12
As I read David’s psalm I have to ask myself why some people don’t want God in their lives and what can I do to change that?
Could I maybe do more to tell of the glory of God’s Kingdom? Could I speak more often about His might or let people know about His acts and His splendor? Could I do more to tell the world about our God?
Heavenly Father, first, thank You so much for wanting to have a relationship with me. That is beyond my comprehension, but I am so grateful for it. Secondly, help me to always be bold enough to speak about You.
