“My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalm 62:7-8
As a young child, I learned to tie my shoes, read, and write. When I got older I learned to drive a car, work at a job. There are many things that I am able to do for myself and I am grateful.
Then there are those things that I may need assistance with, such as car repairs or medical help, so I go to experts in their fields for some of that. I am very grateful that there are those who can offer their expertise.
But there is something I cannot do for myself and neither can others do it for me, and that is my salvation. Salvation depends on God. He has made the way. He has provided. He has done what man could not do for himself, because He is our salvation. He is our refuge. He is our hiding place. He is our all in all.
And I will never be able to say enough, how grateful I am for the salvation that He has made available to me.
Today I simply begin with thank You, thank You, thank You, that You have made salvation available to me.
