During these days where is my heart centered?
Is it on the news? Am I consumed with pandemics, politics, stock market, economy, jobs? Is entertainment my go to? Do I flood my mind with movies, TV, video games? Is it worry or fear?
These verses give us the counsel as to what should be filling our hearts and minds.
“I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws. I hold fast to your statutes, Lord; do not let me be put to shame. I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding.” Psalm 119:30-32
Don’t you like this word picture? “I run in the path of your commands...”
Do we do that? Is that the place we go? Are we anxious to open His Word and spend time with Him? Are we running to that place?
Instead of letting our minds and hearts run wild, let’s run to Him!
Lord, right now I am running to that safe place in Your Word and I will hold on to all You say to me.
