Let’s do a little exercise today. Stretch out your hands and look at them. What do you see? Now concentrate on your right hand. Do you see anything different there? In today’s passage, we’re going to get some very comforting news that goes along with your right hand. It tells us where God is. We cannot see Him but we can trust that He is there. This is what it says, “The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.” Psalm 110:5-7
The Lord is at our right hand.
How about that for a promise! No matter what we face, no matter what is on our agenda to do, no matter what chaos our world seems to be in, God is right there with us. If we find ourselves discouraged or afraid we can merely whisper a prayer to Him. After all He is next to us at our right hand.
Lord, I am going to rest in Your amazing Word that You are at my right hand and at any moment I can call on You and You will hear. Thank You for being so near.
