Revelation 1:4-5

The Revelation

“John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth…” Revelation 1:4-5

This greeting of grace and peace was not just from John. The grace and peace are from God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is God’s desire for us to experience abundant, unfathomable grace, and overwhelming peace that goes beyond our ability to understand.

Several days ago, we wrote that this is the only book of the Bible that promises blessing for reading, hearing, and taking it to heart. It is actually a three-fold blessing. But here we also see that it has the three-fold signature of the Trinity.

When someone says we have their word on something, we trust that they will do it. Right here we have the Word of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There is nothing more trustworthy than that.

We have His Word on it.
