Revelation 1:3

The Revelation

“Are we there yet?”

“When will it be my birthday?”

“How many more days till Christmas?”

If we have spent much time around children we’ve heard those questions. They want to know when the special events in their lives are going to happen. But this isn’t just children; it’s actually in all of us to want to know the dates and the time.

And so the question arises, “Are we there yet?”

Is the time, when the book of Revelation reaches its fulfillment, near?

With our world changing every day, it is a question being raised. Is the time of the end near? Of course, we want to know.

And the answer is, “Yes!”

Revelation 1:3 says: “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”

Notice the last few words of this verse, “because the time is near.”

John was instructed to write down the words of this book 2000 years ago. The Revelation was given for blessing and encouragement and to be faith building for all the generations that would follow. It is for us today.

And it was near then. So, it stands to reason that it is much nearer now.

And as we look around we can see that the world is set up for the fulfillment. Some are calling for a global government. We have technology that will allow us to buy and sell in a cashless society. We have experienced a global pandemic. All of these are signs that what was written 2000 years ago is so much nearer now.

But be assured of this, God knows the exact right time, and all of this is in His hands. When we know Him, we can trust Him with our days and our future.
