Read the Psalms

If there are days when you feel defeated, read the psalms. If you have moments when the world seems dark and overwhelming, read the psalms. If you sometimes wake-up and don’t want to face the day, read the psalms. If there are times you can’t sleep at night, read the psalms.

They are filled with promise and the security that the Lord offers. They give us counsel as to how to be successful in the middle of storms. They bring the regular in the middle of the most irregular of circumstances.

“Praise the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithful people. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.” Psalm 149:1-5

So, whatever the day or the night holds, praise the Lord! Sing to Him, making music that says how much you love Him, making music that brings delight.

I love You, Lord. You are amazing and so filled with grace. You make my life work. I praise You over and over.
