I’ve heard people say that they sometimes feel like their prayers hit the ceiling.
I can identify.
Maybe you can too.
We pray but it may feel like our prayers stop before they can reach heaven. They get stuck in the ceiling.
But a very wise person once said, “Yes, but God is in the ceiling.”
God is everywhere. He’s above, behind, in front, and on either side. How do we know? Psalm 145:18-21, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.”
We can whisper, shout, sing, cry, or even merely think our prayers. He is so close that He hears no matter how small or weak our voices are.
He is near.
I praise You Lord. You hear my feeblest of prayers.
