He asks us to give Him our hearts.
Just what does that mean?
It means that we turn our will, ambitions, plans, talents, concerns, everything over to Him, and then we trust Him to control our lives.
It is then that we can see what He is doing and where He is taking our lives.
There are pitfalls everywhere. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus and dedicate our lives to being His followers. There is deep joy, complete satisfaction, and a singleness of purpose that makes life worth living when we do that.
Everything else is a deep pit.
“My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways, for an adulterous woman is a deep pit, and a wayward wife is a narrow well. Like a bandit she lies in wait and multiplies the unfaithful among men.” Proverbs 23:26-28
Lord, I want You to direct my life. I dedicate myself to You.
