“If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength! Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, ‘But we knew nothing about this,’ does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?” Proverbs 24:10-12
Ignorance of the law is no excuse. That statement applies when we are stopped for speeding. But it also applies when it comes to our decision about Christ.
The Bible lets us know that we will not be able to stand someday before God and say, “I didn’t know.” God knows our hearts. He sees right into what we have learned, perceived, experienced, understood.
We have the Bible.
We have all of God’s amazing creation.
We have millennia of testimonies of the faithfulness of God.
We have libraries filled with books about Jesus.
Movies, archaeological documentaries, artifact discoveries have presented facts and information about the truth of the Lord.
We are without excuse.
Someday we will stand before God and He will open the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Will our names be there?
Dear Jesus, I am so sorry for my sin. Forgive me. I accept You as my Savior and Lord.
