Psalm 24:6-10 “Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your head you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he this King of glory? The Lord Almighty—he is the King of glory.”
This part of Psalm 24 asks a key question that every person on the planet must come to grips with and that is, “Who is this King of glory?”
And this is one answer in life we don’t want to get wrong. There is eternity riding on this.
When Jesus was arrested He was asked the same kinds of questions, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One? Are you the King of the Jews? Are you the Son of God?”
Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am.” And He also informed those accusing Him that someday they would see Him coming on the clouds of heaven.
Why? Because He is the King of glory. He is the Lord strong and mighty. He is the Lord mighty in battle. He is the Lord Almighty.
Someday the gates will lift their heads, someday the doors will swing wide to usher in this King of all Kings to rule and reign forever and every knee will bow.
Jesus, Thank You that we can know truth. Thank You that we can know You. You are the King of glory.
