“Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. Say among the nations, ‘The Lord reigns.’ The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”
The question is: How do we ascribe glory to the Lord? Let’s look at a couple of the ways. We can live in such a way that people see the Lord. God’s kindness leads to repentance. When that kindness is displayed through us, it can point people to Him. When life throws us challenges and we still walk in faith, God gets glory.
Our words can ascribe Him glory. When gratitude and thanksgiving pour out of us for all that God has done, rather than grumbling, and mumbling, and complaining about what we don’t have, others can see His glory.
When we give, when we bring our offerings to the Lord, our faith and trust in Him is displayed and God is glorified.
We get to do this. We have the awesome privilege of letting our lives bring the Almighty God of the Universe, glory.
Oh Lord, thank You for such a high calling. Help me to live so others see Your glory.
