Today’s passage gives us such encouragement. “I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy. Surely the righteous will praise your name, and the upright will live in your presence.” Psalm 140:12-13
Do you see this promise? The upright will live in God’s presence.
Now, that’s great news.
Except, as I look at my own life, am I upright? Do I follow the Lord always lifting Him up before others and walking according to His plan?
I honestly have to say that I do not.
So, what hope then do I have?
Our ability to walk upright before the Lord is not even possible. But Jesus walked it perfectly and I can follow right behind Him. I can claim His righteousness. I can claim His covering over my life.
The truth is I have no righteousness of my own. But I can claim His. That way I have assurance that someday I will live in God’s presence. And that is the best news ever.
Lord Jesus, thank You so much that You walk the path before me so that I can follow You. You make a way for me to someday live in Your presence.
