“Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God; ruthless people are trying to kill me— they have no regard for you. But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Turn to me and have mercy on me; show your strength in behalf of your servant; save me, because I serve you just as my mother did. Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.”
Yes, attacks come. Ruthless people can try to hurt us or even take us out. We live in a dangerous world and it seems it becomes more so every day.
But we serve a loving, compassionate God, who sees and hears it all. He has it all under control.
Someone said this to me the other day:
“When your life feels like it’s falling to pieces, give the pieces to the Master and He will turn it into a masterpiece.”
No matter what it is, He can make it into something beautiful.
I thank You, Jesus, that You show me Your goodness day after day and I am surrounded by Your comfort.
