Have you ever had really good news to tell? Maybe you won a prize or found some money you forgot you had hidden away. Maybe something really great happened at work like a raise or a corner office with an amazing view. Perhaps your child just got word that he is receiving a full scholarship. Maybe you’ve become a grandparent, or the love of your life wants to marry you. Those are all such good things and we sure would want to share that good news.
The psalmist felt that too. Here’s what he said, “Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!” Psalm 66:16-20
He had good news to share, God had heard his prayer. We can share that same good news. Every day we can lift our prayers before God and He hears.
Dear Jesus, I look back over my life and see how You have answered my prayers. Thank You so much. Now help me to be bold in sharing that good news with those around me.
