Have you noticed that a tremendous amount of this Proverb has to do with how we use our words? With a word, battles have begun. With a word, families have been split. With a word, friendships have been left in the dust.
I’m going to repeat the question from our previous post. How do we use our words?
“A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends. A violent person entices their neighbor and leads them down a path that is not good. Whoever winks with their eye is plotting perversity; whoever purses their lips is bent on evil.” Proverbs 16:28-30
As we read these words today, we must determine that we will use our words to bring healing not hurt, peace not violence, the life-changing message of Jesus.
What could we share today that will make an eternal difference?
Father, Your Word is filled with encouragement, grace, peace. Please help us to find ways to share the beauty and rest that comes from the pages of Your Word.
