“My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and teach me your law.” Psalm 119:28-29
When we ask the Lord to teach us, He hears our prayer. It’s a little like your child or grandchild coming to you and asking to be taught how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or learning to vacuum. We’re glad to answer that request because we know it will equip them for life.
God knows that our growing in His Word will equip us for life here and for our eternal life. He is our loving father and wants us to grow up in Him.
So, ask. Pray this prayer to Him, “...teach me your law.” Then open your Bible and see what you learn.
Heavenly Father, please, teach me Your law.
