“I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.” Psalm 63:2-5
When we have eyes to notice God at work, demonstrating His power, our response will be to praise Him.
But why did I phrase it like this: “When we have eyes to notice God at work…”?
Because we have to be alert enough to notice. God is always at work. The birth of a baby, spring flowers, the blazing colors of fall, recovering from illness, reading the Word, being able to pray, all are miracles and give us the opportunity to see His power and glory. But we must look.
If we will, our response will be praise. And it is right that it should be!
Please open my eyes, Lord, that I can see You at work in my life, my family, my world. I thank You for all you are doing.
