End of the Road

“Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it. Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord. But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death.”

Proverbs 8:32-36

The wisdom in the Scripture calls for a response. It’s not enough to just read the words; we must also listen and obey and there is so much blessing at the end of that road.

Colossians 2:2-3 says it like this. “My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

When we find true Wisdom, namely Christ, we are given the keys to complete understanding. We are given the amazing opportunity to unravel the mystery of God. We get to know the Lord. It is the journey that lasts a lifetime. It is treasure that we discover every day. It is riches and abundance and life and favor from the Lord.

However, those who miss it, who look for the abundance in things other than the Lord, only harm themselves. Death is at the end of that road.

Lord, thank You for so much blessing when we find true Wisdom. Give us all eyes to see the Truth.
