“I know, Lord, that your laws are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant. Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight. May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts.” Psalm 119:75-78
In these verses, we see the psalmist’s view of life wrapped up in a few words. There will be afflictions. There will be those who wrong us. There will be difficulties. But...God’s love is what brings us comfort. His compassion breathes life into us. His Word is where we can be delighted. His precepts are where we put our thoughts. When we do that, no matter what the day holds, we are certain of Who is holding it. He is where we run and find the answers.
Thank You Lord, that all that I face in this life is training me to work in Your Kingdom and make a difference. The psalmist was facing difficulties and found answers in You. Thank You that we can too.
