“As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord Almighty, in the city of our God: God makes her secure forever.” Psalm 48:8
We live in a wonderful time. We have the privilege of hearing the Word of God. The Bible is available on our phones or computers with the push of a button. We can listen to Bible stories in our cars as we head out to work. We can have great preaching at our finger tips twenty-four hours a day. We can hear with our ears and recognize God’s truth.
However, we are not limited to just hearing. We live in a day when we can actually see with our own eyes what God is doing in the world. Scripture is being fulfilled before our very eyes. We need only look closely at the land of Israel.
Joel 3:10: “…let the weakling say, ‘I am strong!’” Israel is a tiny nation. It looks like it should be one of the weakest of nations, and yet it is one of the strongest nations on the planet.
Ezekiel 37 promised that God would bring His people back to the land of Israel. That has happened in the last century, and we are able to see.
We can hear. We can see. How blessed we are.
God, thank You for ears to hear and eyes to see.
