“When you, God, went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness, the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel. You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance. Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor.”
He is the provider. He is the One who goes before us. He is the One who sends the rain and the sunshine. Our God is the One who controls it all and yet He leaves the most important choice up to me. That choice is whether I will choose to follow Him or go my own way.
He doesn’t want robots. He wants people who choose to love Him because they have weighed the sides and above all else, want Him. He wants our love because we choose to give it to Him. He has made the provision. Jesus came to bridge the gap between us and God. We simply have to accept His gift of salvation.
What about you? Will you make that choice to follow Him?
Lord, I commit my life to You. I accept your death on the cross as payment for my sins and invite You, Jesus, to come into my life.
