We have arrived at the final letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Each letter has been used to highlight a section of this psalm. It is a testimony that God’s Word is so big, so profound, so all-encompassing that it takes all of language to even begin to get a glimpse of its majesty and beauty.
This section today is a plea, not just to have the Word, but to understand the Word. And then to proclaim it through our words and music. For all of time and eternity, God’s Word will echo. Are we listening?
“May my cry come before you, Lord; give me understanding according to your word. May my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your promise. May my lips overflow with praise, for you teach me your decrees. May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous. May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.” Psalm 119:169-173
Father, please help me to proclaim Your Word to all of those around me. It is more precious than anything I know. It is life changing. It is eternity changing.
