“Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. The Lord protects and preserves them—they are counted among the blessed in the land—he does not give them over to the desire of their foes. The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.” Psalm 41:1-3
God sees our hearts. He knows when our intentions are to help those who are weaker, needier than we are. Many people, instead of reaching out a hand to help, climb over the broken, the weak, the needy. Again, God sees our hearts. If we are good to those who are less fortunate, if we bless instead of hurt, God sees it and there is a reward. Then the Lord delivers those whose hearts are kind when they get into trouble. They are counted as blessed.
Climb over or reach out a hand? We can choose how we respond to those around us. But God loves to reward the faithful.
Lord God, help me to be a help and not a hindrance. Help me to be a blessing to those around me. Thank You for Your blessings in my life.
